Ahoy Plumbing was prompt, identified and explained some issues we had not noticed, and took care of a dozen repairs and replacements on a 20 year old house (we bought and just moved into the house 3 weeks ago). Explained how to use our water softener as a bonus. George and his helper wore plastic booties to protect our floor. George is a master plumber with great attention to detail, and very careful to triple checks all his work, and gave us excellent part recommendations and used parts where some might replace a whole fixture. I cannot say in my 40 years of hiring plumbers did I ever find one this good and friendly and affordable. I will be using Ahoy Plumbing for any future work. Ahoy Plumbing turned out to be a great find for our plumbing needs. George responded promptly to our inquiry (within 20 minutes) and was always super professional. He set up a time frame for the estimate, contacted us to let us know he was on his way, showed up on time, and then performed the kitchen job that same day. The following week he returned to fix our bathroom plumbing, which was a more involved job. He quickly evaluated the situation, provided reasonably priced options and never tried to upsell us or suggest fixes we didn’t need. There were no surprises, either. I was really impressed with George’s pleasant demeanor, his ability as a master plumber, and the care he took in respecting our home – he and his apprentice cleaned up after themselves as well! George made sure we were engaged with all decisions and explained everything he and his apprentice were doing. Ahoy’s pricing is fair for our area, and they did an excellent job. George’s customer service skills are outstanding – I felt we were treated honestly and with integrity. We are so happy that we now have a plumber we can trust for any future issues. He was busy with other jobs, but it wasn’t an emergency so I didn’t have a problem waiting for him to come out the following week. On the day he came to fix my plumbing problem, he texted me to let me know he was on his way and arrived 10 minutes earlier than the scheduled time. Originally he had estimated about an hour to replace my main water shutoff, but he actually finished the work in about 35 minutes which included cutting through an access panel which was not originally anticipated. His finished work looked very clean including the cut he had to make in the panel. He was extremely polite and professional during the time he was fixing our plumbing issue. He was sitting outside in his truck maybe 10 mins prior to our appointment at 10:00 am, rang our doorbell at 10:00 am on the dot. He was was professional, kind, well prepared and full of information.
The visit was complimentary but he did need to do some light work for which he charge us a fair and reasonable price.
Thank goodness we didn't need extensive work done. If we should win the future I will definitely reach out to him again. I definitely recommend him.
